When you look at the label of most CBD creams on the market, you'll see one cannabinoid: CBD. Cannabidiol (CBD) is a well-known compound from the hemp plant, but it is only one of the cannabinoids that hemp produces.

We wanted a formula built on more than one cannabinoid. That's why the KannaCo Pro Series, including both the Pro Cream and Pro Roll-On, is formulated with a precise 1:1 ratio of CBD to CBG.

What is CBD? The Foundational Cannabinoid

Cannabidiol (CBD) is the most well-known non-intoxicating compound found in the hemp plant.

What is CBG? The "Mother Cannabinoid"

Cannabigerol (CBG) is often referred to as the "mother cannabinoid" because it is the chemical precursor to all other cannabinoids. As the hemp plant matures, CBG naturally converts into CBD, THC, and other compounds. By the time the plant is harvested, very little of the CBG remains.

Because it is so rare, CBG is expensive to extract, which is why most brands don't use it.

The Pairing: Why a 1:1 Ratio Matters

Most creams are built around a single cannabinoid. The Pro Series uses two, in equal amounts. Here is how they compare.

The 4,000mg Commitment

A ratio is only part of the story. The amount of cannabinoids in the bottle matters too.

Each KannaCo Pro Series product contains 4,000mg of total cannabinoids. That is 2,000mg of CBD isolate and 2,000mg of CBG isolate. The Pro Cream comes in a 100 mL airless pump and the Pro Roll-On in a 90 mL roller.

Will CBG get me high? Like CBD, CBG is a non-intoxicating cannabinoid. The KannaCo Pro Series is made with CBD and CBG isolate, and each batch's Certificate of Analysis shows 0.0% THC. We cannot promise the outcome of any drug test, so check your employer's policy.

Why don't more brands use CBG? Because it is the precursor to other cannabinoids, very little CBG remains in the mature hemp plant. It requires specialized extraction and is significantly more expensive to produce than CBD.

Can I use the Pro Cream and Pro Roll-On together? Absolutely. Many of our customers use the Pro Cream for larger areas like the lower back or thighs, and keep the Pro Roll-On in their bag for precision application on the neck or knuckles throughout the day.
