Dr. Kay Gonzales, DNP

Dr. Kay Gonzales earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from the University of San Diego, with a clinical focus on family health and integrative wellness approaches for aging adults. Her practice has long emphasized the importance of patient education — particularly helping adults over 55 navigate the growing landscape of natural wellness products with confidence and clarity.

Dr. Gonzales became interested in topical cannabinoid therapy after observing that many of her patients were self-medicating with CBD products purchased without clinical guidance. The majority of those products, she found, lacked the formulation quality needed to deliver meaningful results — leading to patient frustration and skepticism about cannabinoid therapy as a category.

After reviewing Kannaco's formulation science, third-party testing data, and LegitScript certification, Dr. Gonzales joined the Medical Advisory Board to help ensure that Kannaco's patient-facing educational content is clinically accurate, accessible, and genuinely useful for the adults who need it most.
